Beurse vir skoliere en studente
Die Eenheid vir Kreatiewe Skryfkuns aan die Universiteit van Pretoria bied sy sewende Winterskool aan tydens 23 – 25 Junie 2014 op die Hatfieldkampus van UP.
Tydens interaktiewe werkswinkels sal daar daagliks aandag geskenk word aan die skryf van poësie, prosa, drama en draaiboeke.
Die bekende digter, kortverhaal- en romanskrywer Jeanette Ferreira sal tydens die week die prosa-fokusgroep hanteer, terwyl Henning Pieterse (digter, kortverhaalskrywer en vertaler) die poësie-fokusgroep sal hanteer.
Die deelnemende en bekroonde skrywers is Arja Salafranca (digter en kortverhaalskrywer), Chris van Wyk (digter, kortverhaal-, kinderboek- en romanskrywer), Jeanette Ferreira (digter, kortverhaal- en romanskrywer), Marlize Hobbs (romanskrywer), David Medalie (kortverhaal- en romanskrywer) en Henning Pieterse (digter, kortverhaalskrywer, vertaler en Hertzogpryswenner).
Die koste verbonde aan die Winterskool is R6800. Die prys sluit oggend- en middagtee en –koffie en verversings, daaglikse middagetes en twee onthale in.
Daar is slegs 30 plekke beskikbaar vir die Winterskool.
Die medium van onderrig is Afrikaans en Engels, volgens die taalvoorkeur van die skrywers; werkswinkels word in Afrikaans en Engels aangebied. Deelnemers mag in die taal van hul keuse skryf.

Afrikaans studeer om die Winterskool by te woon.

The Unit for Creative Writing at the University of Pretoria presents its seventh Winter School for beginner and advanced writers on the Hatfield campus of UP between 23 - 25 June 2014.
During daily interactive workshops attention will be given to the writing of poetry, prose, drama and film scripts.
Jeanette Ferreira, well-known poet, short story writer and novelist, will facilitate the focus group for prose writers, while Henning Pieterse (poet, short story writer and translator) will facilitate the poetry focus group.
The participating and award-winning writers are Arja Salafranca (poet and short story writer), Chris van Wyk (poet, short story and children’s books writer and novelist), Jeanette Ferreira (poet, short story writer and novelist), Marlize Hobbs (novelist), David Medalie (short story writer and novelist) and Henning Pieterse (poet, short story writer, translator and Hertzog Prize winner).
The course fee is R6800, which includes morning and afternoon tea, coffee and refreshments, daily lunches and two receptions.
There are only 30 places available for the Winter School.
The medium of instruction is Afrikaans and English, according to the language preference of the authors; workshops are presented in Afrikaans and English. Participants may write in their language of choice.
